There are SO MANY ways to get involved with social justice issues at CUA. There is a variety of service opportunities available for students. They range from having dinner with the disabled at “Bethlehem house”, to mentoring young students through the “DC Reads” program, to feeding the hungry on the “Homeless Food Runs.”
One noticeable social justice topic seen around campus this week was that of “hunger awareness”. This theme was seen through the number of students handing out hunger awareness sheets in the student center, as well as student viewing of “the hunger games” on friday, hosted by the CUA student ministers, as well as a guest speaker, who will be coming on Thursday to discuss hunger in the lives of children.
Whichever social justice issue you are passionate about, CUA can help you raise awareness through its many social justice activities.
