Work It Wednesday: In-House

Hey everyone, my name is Meghan and I am a junior politics major from Nazareth, PA. During the school year I’m a Cardinal Ambassador (tour guide), Student Government Association secretary, and a member of the Women’s Varsity Rowing team. This summer, I am working as an student fellow here in the Office of Admission.  In this position, not only do I get to keep giving tours (yay!), but I also get the behind-the-scenes look at the admissions process. Other than giving tours, I work with the admission counselors on projects for admitted students, such as packing away acceptance letters to go to the mail room in McMahon Hall, scheduling college fairs on their calendars, and much more. Here are a few things I love about my job:

1. Giving tours of my favorite places on campus

Walton House, Centennial Village

The picture above is my favorite tour spot on campus: Centennial Village (here we call it CV). Everyone loves to learn about dorm rooms and roommates and it’s my favorite thing to talk about since I have had the BEST experiences living in residence halls on campus. The building featured above, Walton House, was my freshman year home!

2. Telling people why I chose Catholic

I love answering questions about why I came to Catholic. I came here because Catholic U. has great school spirit and an amazing community. I stayed because I love the food (looking at you Which Wich!).

3. Meeting Prospective students

When I give tours, it’s for all of our wonderful prospective students (like you!) who want a closer look at Catholic U. I answer lots of questions as well as share some of my experiences and all the need-to-know info about Catholic to help students realize why it’s the best place to spend your college career!

Now that you know a little bit about me and the awesome Office of Admission, we want to learn a little bit about you. Register for a tour and info session, using the link down below!
