Top Chapels on Campus

Hey, Future Cards!!!

Fatima here again, this time sharing one of my favorite things about campus: The chapels! Just on campus, we have 7 chapels total. No matter where you are on campus you are likely to have a chapel close by. Whether you are looking for weekly mass, praise worship nights, or you are passing by and need a few minutes to yourself, here are my top three chapels to stop by throughout the week!

Caldwell Chapel: Caldwell is the oldest chapel at the university! It really encompasses the history of the university into one room from its stained glass windows to the architecture of the chapel. And if that was not enough, it is located in the center of campus within Caldwell Hall (which makes it easier to pass by on a daily basis, especially as a Theology major always having classes in Caldwell).

Saint Michael the Archangel Chapel: This chapel is one of the newest additions to campus. Recently finished in 2019 within Maloney Hall (home to the Bush School of Business), it has a beautiful balance between modern and old architecture. My favorite part of this chapel is the stained glass windows. Two of these windows have two saints but in suits. These “saints in suits” are a cool reminder that you can become a saint even with a career!

Saint Vincent Chapel: This final one is the biggest chapel at the University. Here, Campus Ministry hosts most Sunday masses, with the most popular one being Sunday mass at 9 pm. It also hosts weekly praise and worship nights. I have made many memories here with friends and for that reason, it is one of my favorite chapels.

Well, Future Cards, this is all for now. If you want more information on other events within the chapels make sure to follow the Campus Ministry Instagram, @cathuministry! I hope to see you soon in the chapels!
